A Moving Song

A quick A+B to keep you all going through the summer whilst I continue work on a new full-length mix. Big thanks to DRA'man for pointing me in the direction of this amazing Keren Ann song

Absent By Night

Time once more to visit the vocals of my beloved Jamie Woon, purveyor of the most haunting vocals I've heard in the last 10 years, this time with a little chillstep. Be sure to give some love to the boys and girls at the Echodub collective (and their sister label, Cut), from where this great track by Absense is taken

Mixed Temptations: The Within Temptation Mashup Album

Every once in a while, I receive an invite to submit to a compilation album or collaboration that makes me stop and wonder whether it's my cup of tea. Such an invite was received following some stuff I helped out my mate Dan Mei with on his Within Temptation mash Zombie What Have You Done.

Symphonic goth metal wouldn't be the genre you'd instantly associate me with, but I have to admit, watching the genesis of this album come together, I've grown to adore the dramatic sweep of Within Temptation's emotional metal.

So here it is - the EPIC mashup album of the year.

Featuring contributions and tracks from A Mei, Bynar, CjR-Mix, Dan Mei, DJ Morgoth, DJ Schmolli, Fissunix, iMashup, LeeDM101, MadMix Mustang, Marc Johnce, Mashup Germany, Panos T, Robin Skouteris, Titus Jones and Xam - grab the full double CD album from

EPIC!

Rabbit In Your Deadlights

The final part in my Thom Yorke trilogy, and this time I'm using my beloved Rabbit In Your Headlights - one of my all-time favourite tracks.

And thanks to my mate Bynar for the inspiration to use multiple sources to pad it out and make a dark, unforgiving soundscape. Yamas!

Rabbit In Your Deadlights

Biome - Space
UNKLE feat. Thom Yorke - Rabbit In Your Headlights
Pinch - Widescreen (sample)
Sleeper and District - Dungeon Style (sample)
Jamie Woon - Wayfaring Stranger (Burial remix) (sample)
Josh Wink - Don't Laugh (sample)
Jacob's Ladder - movie dialogue [1990]

Consider this a warm up... word is, there's a CLT full-length mix in the pipeline...

I Reckon I'm Crazy

Part 2 in my planned Thom Yorke mash trilogy, and I've already sent myself insane from listening to him warble on, over the headphones, on repeat...

I Reckon I'm Crazy

Radiohead - Reckoner
Seal - Crazy

And as a special bonus, it's double-cover week here in the Mash Cave - choose your chosen cover from above, resize to 500x500 px and ID3-tag to your broken heart's content.

Enjoy, if you can...

DJ ATHOM - Politik Killers (Video)

Only the 2nd time I've produced a video for another mashup producer (though I plan to change that soon) - here's a dystopian take on the mashup video for DJ ATHOM's fantastically bleak and thought-provoking track, Politik Killers.

Thoughtcrime does not entail death: thoughtcrime is death.

Politik Killers

Assassin -- L'état assassine Live (Intro)
Manu Chao -- Politik kills
Morcheeba -- Killer Hippie (Bad Vibrations Mix)
